如何背诵《新概念英语》课文之图文法

之前跟大家分享过了《新概念英语》课文背诵的两个方法,即简图法和问答法,有兴趣的朋友,可以再翻阅一下。

今天要跟大家分享的方法,是在简图法的基础上,结合列表和文字的形式,来帮助学生背诵课文的方法,我把它称为图文法。下面我就以第一册第57课为例,来跟大家讲一讲图文法的运用。

【课文原文】

It is eight o'clock. The children go to school bycar every day, but today, they are going to school on foot.

It is ten o'clock. Mrs. Sawyer usually stays at homein the morning, but this morning, she is going to the shops.

It is four o’clock. In the afternoon, Mrs. Sawyer usuallydrinks tea in the living room. But this afternoon, she is drinking tea in thegarden.

It is six o’clock. In the evening, the children usuallydo their homework, but this evening, they are not doing their homework. At themoment, they are playing in the garden.

It is nine o’clock. Mr. Sawyer usually reads his newspaperat night. But he is not reading his newspaper tonight. At the moment, he isreading an interesting book.

【结构分析】

本篇课文在结构上,具有明显的规律。全文共五段,每段的开头都是“It is… o’clock”的表时间的句型;第一和第二段的第二句都是由but引导的并列句,前后是分别采用了一般现在时和现在进行时的两个对比句子;第三段的第二句和第三句其实与第一和第二段的第二句在结构上是类似的,只是作者为了达到句式富于变化的目的,把but引导的句子另起一句了;第四和第五段其实是把前面三段的句子结构做了结合,另外增加了atthe moment引起的对比句型。

由此看来,如果要很快背诵这篇课文,可以结合该文在句段结构上的特点来提高记忆效率。下面我们就逐段来演示说明图文法的运用。

一、第一段

从以上图文可以看出,与简图法不同的是,图文法除了也需要借用图示之外,更多的需要把原文的重要文字内容也融入到图示中去,它比较适合于非对话的多段式课文,而且这些段落之间在结构上要具有相似性和可比性。
