Get Out of Town!不一定是叫你滚得远远的哟

“望文生义”是咱们许多中国孩子在英语学习中经常犯的毛病,尤其是许多本以为习以为常的“简单”词语的组合,如果光从字面上去牵强附地解释,往往会闹出不少笑话。重要的话说三遍,翻译一定要看上下文的语境!

今天咱们就来讲两个老外们常挂在口头的短语--“get out of town”或“get out of here”,没错,大家肯定都知道是“离开这里、滚远点儿”的意思,但要是好朋友或亲人跟你这么说时,就是“少来了啦,别逗了”的意思,跟“you're kidding!”是一个意思。尤其是用在当你听到对方说碰上了好事儿时候的反应回答。

If someone told you to get out of town, would you really have to go anywhere?

You can say "Get out of town" when you are surprised or find it hard to believe something someone said.
当你对某人说的话感到惊讶或难以相信时,你可以说Get out of town。
It has the same meaning as phrases like "get out of here", "you're kidding", or "no way"!
它和“get out of here”、“you're kidding”或“no way”意思相同。
