I. Apparel 服饰
1. The dancers pick out costumes.
舞者们挑选演出服。
演出服、化妆派对的服装叫costume；Pick out：挑选。
2. Mia slips on her slippers. She is ready to dance.
米亚穿上她的舞鞋。她准备好跳舞了。
Slip on：指快速地、很容易地穿上。也可以用在衣服上，如：slip on my jacket。Slipper：舞鞋。
3. Ava wears blue toe shoes. She has on a blue tutu.
伊娃穿着蓝色的芭蕾舞鞋。她还有蓝色的芭蕾舞短裙。
Toe shoe：脚尖处垫有木块便于立足尖的舞鞋；tutu：芭蕾舞短裙。
4. Mia zips up her leotard. She slips on her shoes. She ties a ribbon in her hair.
米亚拉上紧身衣的拉链。她穿上鞋。她在头发上系一条丝带。
Leotard：紧身衣。
II. Movements 动作
5. Mia takes a small step to one side.
米亚向侧面跨一小步。
6. Mia points one toe. She moves the foot in front.
米亚绷起一只脚。她把脚挪到前面。
7. Kate’s big hop turns into a soaring leap!
凯特的单脚跳变成了大跳。
Soar：升空，leap：跳跃，所以soaring leap就是中文舞蹈语言中的“大跳”。
8. Mia stands on her toes. Ruby lifts her arms high. They twirl side by side.
米亚踮起脚尖。鲁比高举手臂。她们并排旋转。
Twirl：快速的旋转，比spin的速度还要快。
9. Sara does the moves while she wiggles and hops.
萨拉一边扭动、跳跃着，一边做动作。
Move：动态的动作；静止的动作叫position；Hop：指人时表示单脚跳，指动物时表示齐足跳跃。
10. Mia drops flowers onstage. Anna does a twirl. All the dancers hop and kick.
米亚在舞台上撒花。安娜在旋转。所有的舞者都跳跃、踢腿。
11. Ava helps Ruby bend her legs into a plie.
伊娃帮助鲁比曲膝半蹲。
Pile：半蹲、法语词汇。在英美国家，很多芭蕾课会使用法语词汇。
12. Ava helps Bella spring into the air.
伊娃帮助贝拉跃到空中。
13. Miss Bird teaches a dance. She spins. She leaps. She walks on her toes!
鸟女士教一支舞。她旋转，跳跃，立着足尖行走！
Dacne：既可以作动词“跳舞”，也可以作名词“一只舞”。
