读书的好处不用多说，笛卡尔曾说过，读一本好书,就是和许多高尚的人谈话。对于想去美国名校的你来说，好好读书的作用则更“实用”。

美国高中生适合读哪些书呢？

根据 corestandards.org，美国核心课程标准，我们总结了适合美国高中生阅读的书单，包括小说，戏剧，诗歌，以及英语语言艺术、历史/社会学、科学和科技相关等周边材料。

这些书单不仅可以帮你提高英文阅读能力，让你更客观得了解美国的风土人情，增加对西方文化的认识，同时对 SAT 或 ACT 的阅读考试也能起到潜移默化的提升作用。

在正式看书单列表之前，乌老师先给各位同学一些小tips，有助于大家更好的阅读：

书单标题建议原文搜索，这样最精准；
所有书籍均要求为英文版；
无论纸质书还是电子书，都建议在亚马逊或当当网购买，以确保正版；
同理，能搜到在线版本也可以；
不建议学生逐字逐句抠生词，不需要查出所有陌生单词，并尽可能结合略读与精读。
