《Running a Race》赛跑

高中的时候，我一直为跑800米这个项目发愁，因为跑得慢，平时总是跑在班级的最后。还有那么两个人，他们跑得也不快，但是平时练习的时候比我快一点儿，跑在我的前面，有的时候还能超过我10几米。等到最后体育考试的时候，我前两个项目都是满分通过的，最后一项800米，竟然轻松地超过了他们俩，跑在在他俩前面很远，那俩人还累得什么似的。让我感觉平时那俩超过我都是假的吗？后来我想，可能那个考场旺我。[呲牙]

Every year, we have a race at school to see who can run the fastest. And every year, my friend Jim wins.

每一年，我们都在学校里举行一次跑步比赛看谁能跑得最快。每一年，都是我的朋友吉姆赢得比赛。

This year, I decided to work very hard to beat Jim. I trained very hard and ran every day.

今年，我下定决心努力联系一定要超过吉姆。我每天都很努力地练习跑步。

Finally, the day of the race came.

最终，跑步比赛的这一天终于来临了。

Everyone got ready at the start line, Then, the gun went off with a "Bang!" I was in the lead,but I could tell Jim was catching up fast.

每个人都在起跑线前做好准备。只听到枪声“嘭”地一响，我领先在了队伍的前头，但是我可以看到吉姆正在快速地赶过来。

Soon, we were running together. It was the last turn before the finish line. We ran side by side. It was fun! We did not care who won anymore. We could always share the prize.

很快，我们就跑在了一起。这是跑向终点的最后一圈了。我们并排前进。速度非常快。最后我们都已经不在意谁会最终赢得比赛，我们可以共享荣誉。

We were having so much fun that we did not notice that another boy had passed us both! Joey zipped by at the very last second.

我们玩得太开心了，以致于没有注意到有一个男孩子从我们身边超过。乔伊在最后一秒从我们身边超过。

In the end, Jim and I shared second place.

最后，吉姆和我拿到了并列第二名。
