Oh, hi! I'm so sorry.

I meant to leave at five o'clock, but, but they made me stay behind and finish a project.

You know, coz I, you know, I do design work and, yeah.

There's just a big project on at the moment and yeah, it's just been…just been a bit manic.

Tell me about you, start off by telling me what you do for a job.

So, why did you choose to do that job?

Oh, I, I love art work, I love creating.

Yeah, so for me, it just made sense to to move into design.

I guess I would have preferred to be a children's book illustrator.

我想我更愿意成为一名儿童读物的插画家。

But there's not much work going in that industry.

So, you know, I moved into just being a product designer but I really enjoy it.

Is your job quite a popular job in your country?

Oh, and would you say that you like your job very happy?

Yeah, pretty much.

I, like I say, I like being creative.

And I feel like it really draws on all my skills.

And I quite like the people I work with.

I think that's really important actually to get along with your colleagues.

Remember when I first started, it was dreadful.

还记得我刚开始的时候，很可怕。

I was I was running to, because I was running a bit late, so I was running to the office on my first day.

因为我有点迟到了，所以我第一天上班是跑着去的。

I had terrible footwear on, so I ended up falling over and I squashed.

我穿的鞋子很糟糕，结果我摔倒了，躺在了地上。

I fell on my bag and I squashed my lunch box.

我摔倒在包上，压扁了我的午餐盒。

And unfortunately, that day, I had taken boiled eggs to work.

不幸的是，那天我带了煮鸡蛋去上班。

Just never take boiled eggs to work.

千万别带煮鸡蛋去上班。

It was such a mistake.

And I had also taken yoghurt.

我还带了酸奶。

And what happened was my box broke, my egg got squashed, and my yogurt pot burst, so I had this horrendous smell coming out of my bag.

我的盒子破了，我的鸡蛋被压扁了，我的酸奶罐破裂了，所以我的袋子里飘出了一股可怕的味道。

And just a disgusting mess that was the inside of my bag with squashed egg and yoghurt which got warmer and warmer throughout the day and just stunk.

我的包里有一团恶心的东西，里面有压碎的鸡蛋和酸奶，一天下来它们越来越热，散发着恶臭。

It really wasn't a very good impression to make on a first day.

第一天给人的印象真的不太好。

Please tell me your first day was better than mine.

So, what kind of things are you responsible for in your job?

Wow! Lots and lots.

I, I am just responsible for making tea.

That's all they trust me with, but next year perhaps I'm going to be responsible for a junior designer which will be nice.

It's always good to feel powerful and be in charge of someone.

It's been a very long day.

I get up at like 5:30 on Wednesdays.

I get up at 6:30 every day, might be to Friday except for Wednesday, Wednesday I get up at 5:30. Every weekday, we'll start with me doing some yoga at home.

我每天六点半起床，可能是周五除了周三，周三我五点半起床。每个工作日，我都会先在家做瑜伽。

And then, I cycle in except on Wednesdays, I have to wait in to let the cleaner into the house.

And then, because I'll be running late, I then go and get the bus into work.

I work, I start work at 8 o'clock.

And then, that goes through till midday.

I have my lunch at noon.

I have that for an hour.

I normally will take lunch out of the office, so I get some fresh air, get to walk around.

Then, I'm at work until 5:00. After work, I normally will spend a few hours catching up with friends.

So, I'll spend a couple of hours grabbing food or just having a drink with friends.

And then, I will head home.

Usually, I have a shower as soon as I get back.

And then I sit down and catch up on some television because I like to watch TV series and films and things.

And then, I will have a little bit more food if I haven't eaten very much, but I normally eat out.

And then, I go to bed at 9:00 o'clock.

Yeah, that's pretty much my day. And at weekends, it changes.

Sometimes, I go rock climbing; sometimes, I'll go walking; sometimes, I'll have a lazy day and just just slop out at home, you know.
